There were also several trucks from Nevada and Oregon, including the Best of Show Working Combo of Phil Miller and James Davis’ 1997 Peterbilt, which earned the Participant’s Choice award, respectively. But, there were also a few that don’t usually attend these shows that made the trek from places like Texas, Ohio, Utah, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri and Indiana. Dynaflex, among many other things, fed the competitors and attendees a free dinner on Friday night (hamburgers and hot dogs), again on Saturday night (tri-tip and all the fixins), and a late lunch on Sunday (a taco bar). With space to stretch out, it was easy to park the 55 or so trucks in two long lines, with the combos on one side and the bobtails on the other. The venue, which is about an hour north of Sacramento, out in the middle of nowhere, proved to be an isolated but good location.
